Halloween at school
I remember reading something about making sure your kids could see well out of their Halloween costume for safety. Well, here we are anyway, with a really cute Eeyore costume that is much too big.

hair
Laura has been complaining about her hair making her face itch, so I went to work with the scissors. It started with just one little cut, but then I kept going and going. Poor kid. This is why I waited until after picture day to trim it. But she likes it and I'm starting to think its pretty cute.
Now this is the one who really needs the hair help, but I'm just not sure where to begin.

And this is the lid of the sugar container from my Grandma's Grandma in the late 1800s. I did take it away and move the container out of his reach, but I think its really cool to see him holding it and know its history.

Visiting Aunt Kim
On the road to Kim's
Here are some shots from our road trip to Kim's last weekend.

Laura is practicing snapping.
We found an awesome nature center in Rochester to stop and get our wiggles out.

the coin drop was a big hit

big surprise for Laura - a T Rex skull (she's really into dinosaurs right now)

I didn't know Adam could climb into a chair and sit down.

Lots of great displays - live and dead. fish, insects, snakes, turtles, touchable stuff like pelts, bones, fossils, books, etc.
saw some dinosaur bones along the freeway and stopped for a better look.

The drive is very pretty right around the border/Mississippi River.

lemonade
Last week, I accidentally dropped a mug on the floor and it broke. Bummer and a mess. Then I looked up and saw Adam gleefully dumping dry rice cereal all over the floor. I'm not sure how he got ahold of the box. Well, yes I am. I'm terrible at closing cabinets. Anyways, the new mess kept the kids busy and happy while I cleaned up the dangerous mess.
