The drive home was just lovely. I didn't expect North Dakota to be pretty, but they have their own formations that look very similar to the Badlands. Pretty!
One of the nights, Jim and I left the kids in the hotel and walked over to a Japanese restaurant to get take out (and then Taco Johns for the kids). We sat at the bar and had a mini-date while we waited for the food. Its so fun to have older kids!
I have 2 friends familiar with Montana, and when asked, they recommended Mackenzie River Pizza's Thai Pizza. Since they don't know each other and this is the only thing they could think of to recommend doing in Montana, I figured we better make a point to get there. The pizza was fantastic, of course!
We toured the North Dakota State Capitol, of course. Our first one with no dome!
And we stopped at the tallest structure in the the western hemisphere, the KVLY-TV mast. Pretty exciting stuff!
All done with Yellowstone posts! It was a crazy awesome trip, especially the fact that our families joined us. We saw the worlds largest Holstein statue, Bison statue, Prairie Chicken statue, TV tower, and Corn Palace. Now that's my kind of fun!
