The kids' school is having a cultural week, ending in a cultural fair with different food, music, customs etc from the kids at the school. Laura has often complained that she didn't have any culture to share. It's hard to explain that we have tons of culture and history, it's just that everyone already knows about our holidays, traditions and foods. This year, each day celebrates a different continent, starting with North America. I'm so glad Laura agreed to be a pioneer girl! My mom made me this dress when I was a girl and it fits her perfectly. I think she at least resembles Laura Ingalls Wilder, don't you think? It's good for her to be proud of her ancestors and culture.
